The pattern

That squeaky-clean feeling? That's the sound of something being taken.

  • Skin that tightens before you've finished drying off.
  • A scalp that feels fine in the shower and tight an hour later.
  • The best moisturizer in the house, undone every night by four minutes of washing.

Squeaky is friction. Friction means the film is gone — not just the day's dirt, but the acidic layer your skin made itself. You can't moisturize your way out of a wash that keeps removing it.

The fix isn't washing less. It's a wash built to different specs — 100% plant-derived surfactants, held at skin's own pH 5.5, carrying 20,000 ppm of encapsulated vitamin E — and the specs start with a number nobody prints.

The number nobody prints

Your skin lives at pH 5.5. Most washes don't.

Healthy skin holds a slightly acidic film — the acid mantle — at roughly pH 5.5. Most shampoos and body washes sit between 6.5 and 8.0, and plain soap is higher still. Every wash pushes the surface out of its own range.

Published work puts recovery of that film at up to six hours after an alkaline wash, and reports that repeated washing at pH 8 over several weeks is associated with a weaker, more reactive barrier. Wash twice a day and the surface spends much of its life climbing back.

So we built this at 5.5 and refused to leave it. Plant-derived surfactants only, no sulfates — which is also why the lather is fine and dense rather than billowing, and why nothing squeaks at the end.

One bottle, three jobs

A wash that's kind to a scalp should be kind to a face.

The three-bottle shower is a marketing arrangement, not a dermatological one. It's all one organ; what damages it in one place damages it in another.

hairand scalp

No sulfates, no silicone

SLS and SLES are the reason most shampoos foam the way they do, and the reason scalps feel tight after. There's no silicone coating either — which means hair may feel less slippery at first, and settles as it dries. Long hair still wants a conditioner.

facedaily

Mild enough to be the cleanser

Same pH as the skin you're washing, plant-derived surfactants, no added perfume. Fine as an everyday face wash; for heavy makeup, take that off first.

bodyevery age

Nothing left tight afterwards

The point isn't how clean it feels in the moment — it's how your skin feels ten minutes after you've dried off. That's the only test of a wash that matters.

At a glance

The wash itself, in six facts.

The argument is above. This is the bottle — what it does in your hand, and what it leaves behind.

Lather

Fine and dense

Small-bubbled rather than billowing, because there are no sulfates in it. It rinses clean and leaves no squeak.

Acidity

pH 5.5

Where most shampoos and body washes sit between 6.5 and 8.0. The whole formula was built around holding this number.

Scent

Faintly herbal

No synthetic perfume. What you notice comes from the botanicals themselves — quiet enough for a household, but not a fragrance-free product.

Key actives

Vitamin E · Centella

20,000 ppm of encapsulated pure vitamin E — unusual in something you rinse off — with centella and green tea.

Where

Scalp, face, body

330 ml pump, for every age in the house. One bottle replaces three, which is the practical argument for its price.

Without

SLS · SLES · silicone

No sulfate surfactants, no silicone coating, no synthetic fragrance. The cleansing agents are 100% plant-derived.

Dear Lauren Intensive bath
One 330 ml pump for hair, face and body — plant-derived surfactants, held at pH 5.5.
Measured, not claimed

Two safety studies. And no efficacy trial, because we didn't run one.

Our creams and lotions carry efficacy studies with protocol codes. This is a wash — it's on your skin for two minutes — so what we tested was whether it irritates. Twice, the second time on skin screened to be reactive.

What people notice after they dry off.

"I'm very sensitive to fragrance — anything artificial or heavy gives me a headache — so the first pump was the real test, and it passed instantly. The formula is clear, and the lather isn't big soapy bubbles; it's fine and dense and rinses clean. What I really noticed is how my skin feels afterward. No dryness, no reaction. Nothing at all."

Verified buyer · ★★★★★ · Feb 2025

"My legs kept going dry and breaking out in little rough bumps. The lotion and cream had already done so much for me that I switched my wash over too. It foams up well — I shower with it and then finish with the lotion. Maybe because it doesn't strip anything out, my skin has been getting softer and softer."

J.K. · ★★★★★ · verified purchase

"I'd been jumping from product to product because of my child, whose skin stayed dry no matter what. The first thing that struck me here is that it isn't harshly perfumed. It foams well, and afterwards there's none of that tight, stripped feeling. One bottle doing everything makes bath time simple — and even my husband, whose skin reacts to almost everything, washes with it."

The price, itemized

Nobody expects a wash to be expensive.

It goes down the drain, so it's the first place a brand economizes. This is what you're paying for instead:

01

Holding pH 5.5

Formulating a cleanser at skin's own pH rules out most of the preservative systems and most of the cheap surfactants in the industry. It is a constraint that removes options at every step — which is precisely why so few washes do it.

02

Plant-derived cleansing agents, 100%

Sulfates are cheap, foam gloriously, and feel like cleaning. We use plant-derived surfactants that cost more and foam less — and leave the acid mantle where it was.

03

Active ingredients in something you rinse off

20,000 ppm of encapsulated pure vitamin E in a wash makes no commercial sense — most of it goes down the drain. It's there because two minutes of contact is still two minutes.

One more piece of math: this is shampoo, face wash and body wash in a single 330 ml pump, for everyone in the house. And if it still doesn't earn its price on your skin, the next section is for you.

The promise

We sell change, not soap.

Use it for 30 days. If the change doesn't reach your skin, we refund every dollar — no deadline, no questions.

Start your 30 days ↑
Really — shampoo and face wash from the same bottle?

Yes. It's formulated at skin pH with plant-derived surfactants and no added perfume, which is what makes it mild enough for a face. Take heavy makeup off first.

My hair feels different at first. Is that normal?

There's no silicone in it, so hair isn't coated the way most shampoos coat it. It settles as it dries. If your hair is long, use a conditioner on the lengths.

Why isn't there more foam?

Foam comes mostly from sulfates, which are the thing we removed. Lather volume and cleaning are not the same measurement — this one is fine-bubbled and cleans completely.

Is it fragrance-free?

No synthetic fragrance is added, but the botanicals leave a faint herbal scent. If you need a formula with no fragrance ingredients at all, the Intensive Cream, Intensive Lotion and Intensive Soothing Gel all qualify.

Can children use it?

It was built as a whole-family wash and measured 0.000 on both irritation studies above. Keep it out of eyes, and rinse thoroughly.

What exactly is the refund policy?
