A cream — the moisture load of one, in a liquid body. Reviews call it an essence because of how it pours, but it's the last moisturizing step, not a prep step.
It seems very runny. Is that right?
Yes. It's meant to run. Apply thin coats rather than one thick application, and let each sink in before the next.
Will it be enough in winter?
Add a coat, or finish with the Intensive Cream on the nights it isn't. Adjusting by layers is the intended way to use it year-round.
Is it fragrance-free?
No perfume is added, but tangerine peel oil leaves a light citrus scent. If you need a formula with no fragrance ingredients at all, the Intensive Cream, Intensive Lotion and Intensive Soothing Gel all qualify.
Can children use it?
