The name

Real vitamin E is rare enough to name a line after.

On almost every ingredient list, “vitamin E” means tocopheryl acetate — vitamin E rebuilt to survive the factory rather than to work on your skin. The form skin can actually use, pure α-tocopherol, oxidizes within weeks of meeting air, so the industry ships the substitute. We built a line around the real one instead — sealed alive in 200-nanometer SNV™ capsules — and named it after what's inside. RealE.

Four steps — the wash, the water, the concentrate, and this: the seal. A butter that looks heavy in the jar, melts at skin temperature, and stays measurable twenty-four hours later, holding everything applied under it where you put it. One caution before anything else: Dear Lauren makes two creams, and they do different work — so the first thing this page does is make sure you're reading about the right one.

Two creams, one brand

This is not our barrier cream. Please don't buy the wrong one.

Dear Lauren makes two creams and they do different work. Confusing them is the single most common way to be disappointed by a product that would have suited someone else.

RealEthis one

Antioxidant and tone — the well-ageing cream

Pure vitamin E kept alive, the bee trio, niacinamide and adenosine, in a body-heat butter base. Face only, last step, for dullness, uneven tone and the appearance of fine lines.

Intensivethe other one

Barrier and dryness — the derma cream

Centella base, EGF, and the step that helps skin make its own ceramides. Face and body, whole family, for rough, reactive, eczema-prone skin. Different formula, different studies, different job.

They layer well together. But if you only want one, pick by the problem you actually have.

What's in the jar

A vitamin most creams can't keep, and a base that disappears.

×19vs. the acetate

Pure vitamin E — α-tocopherol

The real molecule at roughly 95% activity, not the ~5%-active acetate almost every label carries. Sealed in a triple-layered 200-nanometer SNV™ capsule — measured at 4.2× the delivery of un-encapsulated raw material.

3from the hive

Propolis, royal jelly, honey

The antioxidant trio that runs through the RealE line, with niacinamide and adenosine — the two actives Korea's regulator reviewed for this product's registration.

37°melting point

Shea butter, cacao seed butter, squalane

Plant butters that are solid in the jar and liquid at body temperature. That's why a cream this rich stops feeling rich the moment it touches skin — and why it's still there in the morning.

Multiplier figure per raw-material assay documentation. Delivery figure from Franz-cell permeation testing over 24 hours against the same active un-encapsulated.

At a glance

The cream itself, in six facts.

The argument is above. This is the jar — how it behaves, and where it belongs.

Texture

Melts at body heat

Dense enough to look intimidating in the jar, and then it turns to liquid on contact and settles without tack. The finish is smooth, not shiny.

Key actives

Vitamin E · Bee trio

Pure vitamin E in its SNV™ capsule, propolis, royal jelly and honey extracts, plus niacinamide, adenosine, panthenol and allantoin.

The base

Plant butters

Shea and cacao seed butter with squalane — the reason the texture behaves the way it does. No mineral oil.

Registered

Dual-function, Korea

Reviewed and registered by Korea's MFDS as a dual-function cosmetic on niacinamide and adenosine. A Korean regulatory status, stated as fact — not a US claim.

Size

50 ml jar

With a spatula, which we'd ask you to use — a jar this rich stays cleaner if fingers stay out of it.

Where

Last, face only

Morning and night. RealE order: cleanser, toner, ampoule, cream — the ampoule fills, the cream locks it in.

Dear Lauren RealE Cream
Dense in the jar, gone on contact — a butter that melts at skin temperature.
Measured, not claimed

Then we sent it to the lab.

Efficacy testing at an independent institution, with instrument readings after a single application — and a separate low-irritation study on sensitive skin.

Skin hydration, after one use+344.66%
Skin barrier strength, after one use+228.73%
Moisture by permittivity, vs. untreated control+179.89%

ACE Skin Clinical Research Institute, Seoul · 22 Korean adults · Sep–Oct 2025. Hydration 7.21 → 32.06; barrier 13.90 → 45.68, equivalent to a 3.29× reduction in water loss; permittivity 12.80 → 35.63 against an untreated area. Percentages are relative changes from each subject's own baseline, which is low on dry skin. Low-irritation testing on sensitive skin completed with 30 subjects. These are hydration and barrier measurements — they are separate from, and not evidence for, the brightening and wrinkle-care registration referenced above. Figures describe measured skin condition in the cited studies; individual results vary. Cosmetic studies, not drug trials.

Reviews in Korea

Two of them. Both real.

This cream launched in Korea in January 2026, so there aren't many reviews yet — and we'd rather show you two honest ones than pad the space. Dear Lauren has 17,000+ reviews across its products and took the Forbes 2025 Best Brand Award for derma skincare in Korea.

"I'd been using the children's cream, so I picked one up for myself when this came out. It spreads easily and doesn't feel slick or tacky — there's a slightly dense finish to it, which is what makes it feel moisturizing. My skin is sensitive and it hasn't caused a single breakout, and my face looks brighter than it did. I'll be buying it again once this jar is done."

"I liked the ampoule so much that I ordered the set. When the cream arrived I tried it right away — it sinks in with no stickiness at all. The morning after I put it on and slept in it, my skin felt smooth to the touch and my tone looked brighter than usual."

The price, itemized

We know every way to make this cream cheaper.

We declined them all. This is what you're paying for:

01

The real vitamin E

The acetate costs a fraction and survives anything. The real molecule has to be bought fresh, kept from air, and sealed capsule by capsule — the largest single cost in the jar, and the one you'd never have known we skipped.

02

Plant butters instead of mineral oil

Mineral oil is cheap, stable, and gives a rich cream almost for free. Shea and cacao butter with squalane cost more and behave better on skin — and they're the reason the texture melts rather than sits.

03

The delivery technology

SNV™ brings DDS — drug-delivery science, the medical engineering that moves fragile molecules intact — into a cosmetic. Almost no one else in skincare does this: not because of what it costs, but because very few can build it.

The promise

We sell change, not cream.

Use it for 30 days. If the change doesn't reach your skin, we refund every dollar — no deadline, no questions.

How is this different from the Intensive Cream?

Different formulas for different problems. This one is antioxidant and tone — face only, last step. The Intensive Cream is the barrier cream: centella base, EGF, whole family, face and body, for rough and reactive skin. Neither replaces the other.

It looks too heavy for my skin.

That's the reaction almost everyone has to the jar. The butters are solid at room temperature and liquid at body temperature, so it thins the moment it touches you and finishes light.

Do I need the ampoule too?

Not necessarily — the cream alone carries the vitamin E and the bee trio. On dry nights, the ampoule underneath does more; the ampoule fills and the cream locks it in.

Will it help with dryness or itching?

That isn't this cream's job and we won't claim it. For dry, rough, reactive skin our Intensive line is the right answer.

Can I use it in the morning?

Yes — it absorbs cleanly enough to wear under makeup. Most people use less in the morning and more at night.

What exactly is the refund policy?

Bought from an official Dear Lauren store, you're covered by a 100% money-back promise — anytime, not only the first 30 days. Write to cs@bilico.com with your order number.
